In this role you will operate the sales kiosk on weekdays, selling plants and related items, cash handling in accordance with financial procedures. You'll have responsibility for opening and setting up and securing the kiosk, as well as maintaining plant quality and signage.

We're looking for someone available once per week or fortnight to help us with our maintenance. In this role you will complete routine simple maintenance tasks, including both basic repairs and preventative maintenance. Tasks will be allocated according to experience and ability.

Contact usWe're looking for garden support volunteers to assist the client gardeners and horticultural therapists at our London centre in Battersea Park.
Volunteers will need to be able to commit to one day a week for a minimum of 6 months, 9.45am – 3.15pm.
We are looking for people with the following:
- Patience and understanding with a commitment to being supportive and companionable
- Flexibility – tasks may need to change and client gardeners' behaviour may be surprising or erratic
- Reliability – for both the therapists and the client gardeners this is important for continuity and trust.
- Understanding of professional boundaries
- Ability to explain tasks clearly and in simple ways
- Some understanding of basic gardening skills
- Prepared to work outdoors in most weathers
- Robust in order to cope with the demands of supporting our clients

We have been running our extremely popular corporate volunteering days together with our experienced horticultural therapists for a number of years. Our aim is to provide our corporate volunteers with a fun and rewarding day in the fresh air, with the opportunity to work hands-on in one of our beautiful gardens.
With our personal and friendly approach, you would learn more about Thrive and see with your own eyes the great work we do with a wide range of clients.
During our corporate volunteering days, you would get to experience a great team-building opportunity, whilst supporting your local charity and making a positive difference to the lives of people living with disabilities or ill-health. Your team would also get to explore the many benefits of gardening and its effects on wellbeing and mental health.
I found the planting very relaxing and therapeutic. It was a wonderful thing to do for people who work in a stressful office environment.

The standard cost is £1000 per day for up to 20 people, which is currently our maximum number. We can host corporate volunteering days usually on Wednesdays and Fridays.
