This Policy applies as between you, the User of this website and Thrive the owner and provider of this website. This Policy applies to our use of any and all Data collected by us in relation to your use of the Web Site and any Services or Systems therein.

means collectively all information that you submit to the Web Site. This includes, but is not limited to, Account details and information submitted using any of our Services or Systems;

3. Our Use of Data
At Thrive, our work is only made possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters. By developing a better understanding of our supporters through researching them using publicly available sources we can tailor and target our fundraising activity and communications to those most likely to be interested in them. This allows us to be more efficient and cost-effective and also reduces the risk of someone receiving information that they may find irrelevant, intrusive or even distressing.
On occasion we may carry out research to determine whether an individual may be a potential major donor. In doing this we may use additional information from third party sources such as Google and other internet search engines, electoral register, Companies House; biographies published on a corporate website and publicly available LinkedIn profiles. The type of information we collect includes career overview, estimated gift capacity, history of giving to our charity and how the individual is connected to the charity, public information on any philanthropic activities, a top-line check on any ethical concerns and a check to see whether an individual is registered with the telephone preference service (TPS) or fundraising preference service (FPS) or is otherwise on a ‘do not contact’ list.
We only use reputable sources where someone would expect their information may be read by the public. We will not use any data we believe has not been lawfully or ethically obtained.
3.1 Any personal Data you submit will be retained by Thrive for as long as you use the Services and Systems provided on the Web Site.
3.2 Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to Clause 4, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties
3.3 All personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. Fore more details on security, see Clause 9 below.
3.4 Any or all of the above Data may be required by us from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience. Specifically, Data may be used by us for the following reasons:

3.4.2 improvement of our products / services;
3.4.3 transmission by email of promotional materials that may be of interest to you;

4. Third Party Web Sites and Services
4.1 Thrive may, from time to time, employ the services of other parties for dealing with matters that may include, but are not limited to, payment handling, delivery of purchased items, search engine facilities, advertising and marketing. Any Data used by such parties is used only to the extent required by them to perform the services that Thrive requests. Any use for other purposes is strictly prohibited. 4.2 We use secure payment providers, (Stripe and Paypal) to process your donations, course bookings and shop purchases. For regular donations, either monthly or annual, our Stripe integration allows you to give us permission to initiate a series of payments on your behalf. The amount you set will be taken on the same day of the month that you made the first payment (if a monthly donation) or the same day of the year (if an annual donation). You should receive email receipts from Stripe to confirm these payments and you can contact email@example.com or call 0118 988 5688 to speak to a member of the team about your regular donation.
5. Changes of Business Ownership and Control
5.1 Thrive may, from time to time, expand or reduce its business and this may involve the sale of certain divisions or the transfer of control of certain divisions to other parties. Data provided by Users will, where it is relevant to any division so transferred, be transferred along with that division and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Policy, be permitted to use the Data for the purposes for which it was supplied by you.
5.2 In the event that any Data submitted by Users will be transferred in such a manner, you will not be contacted in advance and informed of the changes.
