We have an active volunteering programme, with over 250 volunteers working alongside our practitioners in a range of client-facing, gardening, and administrative roles across our three sites (London, Reading and Birmingham).
We simply wouldn't be able to function without these wonderful people! You can find out more about why people volunteer at Thrive in our research report.
Importance Notice
Our regional centres have reopened and are gradually returning client gardeners, staff and volunteers.
If you'd like to register your interest in volunteering, please complete our form and we'll be in touch about volunteer recruitment. Please bear with us as we're receiving lots of enquiries! Please note, we are not currently taking enquiries for London due to high levels of interest.
Come and see what we do! During the sessions prospective volunteers will be able to find out more about Thrive and current volunteer roles, pick up an application form, find out how to apply for DBS clearance and meet current volunteers.
Find out more about volunteering at one of our regions via the links below.
If you don't live near a Thrive centre but would like to volunteer for a project offering horticultural therapy, we hold details of over 600 garden projects in the UK. Contact info@thrive.org.uk for details of projects in your area, providing your postcode or town and how far you're happy to travel.
Don't take our word for how much people enjoy giving their time to us here at Thrive - hear from some of those who volunteer at our centres and gardens in their own words below.
Thrive’s volunteers are the backbone of the charity. Many go beyond what is expected of them, supporting events and activities in the evening and at weekends or going that extra mile in supporting disabled people and of course baking cakes!
