Trunkwell autumn
The Award will enable participants to reflect deeply about the use of Social and Therapeutic Horticulture for a client group of their choosing with specific support needs and will develop a year-round therapy programme for the group.

2+ days

The Award in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Programme Development, accessible through our classroom and online courses, involves an eight week period of blended guided and self-directed study with tutorial and resource support from Thrive's Training and Education team. Participants can gain access to the Award by attending any of the two day client-specific courses on our specialist knowledge programme, or completing one of the following online courses on our ThriveLearn website: STH Practice, Award in STH Programme Development or by completing the 4 Award Modules. If you are an Occupational therapist or a health and social care professional who work with clients that have a wide range of support needs then might consider attending our OT/Health Care professional specific course.

Participants can begin the award immediately after completing the appropriate course. Once the teaching components of the course are complete students can progress to the assignment any time until July of the following academic year. For example, if you were to attend a course in November of the 2020/21 programme, you would have until July 2022 to embark upon the Award in STH Programme Development assignment.

Cost: £210*

*note - this fee is in addition to the cost of attending the required taught courses.
