Activity 1. Go on a sensory walk
I went on my daily walk before work this morning – it was definitely sensory as it was very wet! Smelling the rain-soaked leaves and sodden earth is very grounding.

Activity 2. Clean pots and trays
I wasn't sure how keen I was to clean my plant pots. But once I got going, it was incredibly satisfying - I ended up doing more than I thought I would!

A Winter’s Mist – by Freddie Watson Stubbs
There is a silence in the damp mist of a winter fog
Muted as if the expectation of the season has somehow been dulled
Dampened in every way by the sweeping water colour brush
The greens and golds of seasons past turned muddy brown
The watery reflected images the silhouettes of trees laid bare
Vistas once filled with colour now just hues of a darkened mood.
There is the promise of a blue-sky day hidden just around the corner
When the crispness of the air crackles against your bare skin
The leaves underfoot no longer muddy but decorated
The white icing sugar dusting of frost lingering in the pale glow of sunlight
Delicate patterns of frozen spider webs hang from the fence posts
These days fill the soul with such air that our bodies feel cleansed again.
Activity 8. Tend to your houseplants
A lot of our houseplants have names. We have one called Sideshow Bob, because he looks like he's got the same hairstyle as Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons!
