We have created a activity pack of gardening and nature activities that are ideal for connecting with others.

With over 40 years of experience of changing lives with gardening, at Thrive we know first hand that interacting with nature whilst in pairs or groups is a fantastic way to build bonds with others.

Gardening and nature activities have a particular way of keeping us in the present moment. They are effective in distracting us from our day-to-day worries, and by doing so allow us to be more open in conversation with others.

In fact, research has shown that time interacting with nature can decrease activity in the subgenual prefrontal cortex – the part of the brain responsible for negative thoughts and rumination.

This is why we have created the 'Connecting with nature, connecting with people' activity pack. To provide an array of activities for you to use to facilitate connection with others.

What's in the activity pack?

The 'Connecting with nature, connecting with others' activity pack brings you several activities you can try with others!

Some require a bit of teamwork, some provide a sense of community, and others are simply nice to sit down and have a chat whilst you take part together. Either way, you'll find these activities are a really enjoyable way to spend time with other people.
