The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s largest annual fundraising campaign, supporting a wide range of charities nationwide.
For one week each year, donations made to charities through The Big Give website are doubled at no extra cost to supporters, thanks to generous match funding partners.
In 2025, the Big Give Christmas Challenge raised a record-breaking £57.4 million in just seven days, with over 150,000 public donations helping charities across the UK.
We're proud to have taken part for the fourth consecutive year. We are extremely grateful for the match funding provided by our Big Give Champion The Balcombe Charitable Trust, and our long-standing pledger, the Leisure and Outdoor Furniture Association (LOFA), who have supported our Big Give campaigns since 2022.
During the 2025 Challenge, which ran from Tuesday 2nd December to Tuesday 9th December, a life changing £28,440
(inc. Gift Aid) was raised for Thrive, surpassing our fundraising target of £25,000.
Thanks to the amazing generosity of our supporters and the backing of our match funders, we will be able to transform even more lives through promoting and providing Social and Therapeutic Horticulture across the UK.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, shared our campaign, or helped raise awareness. Your support truly makes a difference.

Sign upAs part of the 2025 Big Give Christmas Challenge, we shared Arun's story.
When you’ve been ill for such a long time, it’s hard to figure out a way forward. Thrive offers that path and helped me to rebuild all the skills I needed to succeed and take on the world again.
Arun, Client Gardener at Thrive London
Arun’s path to recovery through gardening.
At only 29, Arun Veerapan uses a walking aid and struggles to make a cup of tea. He lives with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a painful and disabling inflammatory musculoskeletal condition that causes his spine to fuse and severely impacts mobility. His health deteriorated more when treatment for AS caused a brain injury and a rare neurological condition that mimics dementia, affecting his memory, cognition and ability to process everyday tasks.
In hospital Arun found relief outside in the gardens. His neurologist understood the therapeutic value of nature which paved the way for his recovery. Once home, Arun joined Thrive and the Life Changers programme.
Gardening has helped to restore Arun’s health. When his condition flares up, time in the garden offers an immediate remedy.
