The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest collaborative fundraising campaign, supporting a wide range of charitable organisations.

For seven days, thanks to match funding, donations made to charities through The Big Give website are doubled at no extra cost to supporters.

In 2022, Thrive was selected to take part for the first time following a competitive application process. We were extremely grateful to have match funding provided by our pledger, the Leisure and Outdoor Furniture Association (LOFA), and additional match funding from our Big Give Champion The Reed Foundation.

We set an ambitious target of raising £6,000 online, which would grow to an amazing £12,000 thanks to our match funding pot. Helping us to transform even more lives through promoting and providing Social & Therapeutic Horticulture across the UK.

Between 29th November and 6th December, an incredible £6,000 was raised online by our supporters and doubled by our match funders, reaching our ambitious target of £12,000. A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported the campaign.

As part of the 2022 Big Give Christmas Challenge, we shared Stephen's story. After experiencing a stroke, an Occupational Therapist referred Stephen to our centre in Battersea Park to benefit from some therapeutic gardening sessions as part of our Life Changers programme.

Thrive gets me out of the house and helps me achieve the things I like in life. I feel it's done me a power of good and I think it's the best decision I've made in a long time.
