It's the 16th occasion that the International People Plant Symposium has invited groups and individuals to reflect on the effect that plants have on human health and wellbeing.
The IPPS is the world’s leading independent organization of horticulturists and is a globally recognized and sought after platform for research, information sharing and collaboration in support of sustainable innovation in horticulture.
The two day seminar will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Caversham. Keynote speakers include Dr Rachel Bragg OBE, who has been the driving force in the development of the care farming sector in the UK for the last 15 years and is a passionate advocate of green care. She will be joined by the author of ‘The Well Gardened Mind’ psychiatrist and psychotherapist, Dr Sue Stuart Smith and Anna Baker Cresswell who founded the charity, HighGround to help ex-military personnel find jobs in the land-based sector.
