Nic Wilson is a writer, editor and Guardian country diarist. Her debut book, Land Beneath the Waves, will be published in June 2025. The book is a memoir of living with chronic illness and an examination of the ways a relationship with the natural world can affect us.

Join us for a free talk, where Nic Wilson and Milly Sell from Thrive will discuss some of the key themes of the book, including:

  • The impact that our connection with nature can have on us throughout our lives
  • The importance of our bond with nature
  • How nature can support us through ill physical or mental health
  • How we can begin our own journey's of nature reconnection

There will be the opportunity for questions at the end of the talk.

Nic is a writer, editor and Guardian country diarist. She works for BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine, specialising in wildlife, wild plants and environmental issues. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, and her nature memoir, Land Beneath the Waves, will be published by Summersdale on 12 June.
