Bradley says…
“I love gardening and making a difference by helping. I have learnt a lot from Thrive. I’ve learnt how to plant seeds and rake the plots so that they’re flat, and lots of other things. I enjoy helping to lay out pathways, take out weeds and make more space for growing plants at Thrive. Working in the greenhouse is also really good.
My plot is very special to me. It’s where I can choose what to grow. This year, I planted onions, garlic and tomatoes. I enjoy taking the vegetables home to my mum. I also grew some sunflowers for my nan, who sadly passed away last year.
I like to meet new people and get to know everyone. I’ve learned everyone’s names, and we have some great conversations. There’s a sense of achievement at the end of each day; you get a lot done here, it’s amazing.
The most special thing about Thrive is how they help you adapt to everything you need to do and how helpful everyone is; teaching you and make it a nice area to be in. I really look forward to coming here.”

“Bradley has loved having his own plot to plan for this year. He decided to grow vegetables that could be used to top a pizza, which we plan to make with the group later in the year. It’s lovely that the client gardeners are able to experience the whole cycle of growth, from seed to plate!
Bradley benefits massively from the social element at Thrive. He’s very friendly, always says hello to people and thanks everyone by name at the end of the day. He’ll always take an interest in what everyone else is doing and will often come out with quotes from films linked to what people are doing!
