Sarah is an experienced charity trustee and fundraising leader with a background in investment banking, dedicated to community wellbeing through gardening, nature, and social impact.

Sarah started a career in investment banking and then, via a spell in New York, went on to be the Development Director at the Royal Academy of Engineering, being responsible for fundraising and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.

Sarah has had trustee and non-executive roles across a wide range of charity, corporate & public sectors and sits on multiple charity boards. Currently she is a trustee of Care South, a large care homes charity where she is on their Finance, Audit, & Risk and Remuneration Committees. She is a former trustee director of Dolphin Living which provides affordable housing to working Londoners and former chair of Carefree, a social technology charity accessing respite for unpaid carers nationwide.

She recently joined Electrical Safety First as a trustee and chairs its Financial Management Committee. In January she will formally join the Board of Southwark Charities and in being a member of its Finance and General Purposes and Site Development Committees will help oversee a major £m project to create new homes for elderly residents.

Sarah has always loved Thrive’s STH mission and is fortunate to live near Battersea Park. As a strong advocate of the benefits of gardening and of nature to all our wellbeing, Sarah believes that what we offer is vital and impactful. As an active gardener and as a volunteer focused on supporting individuals and local communities, her interests and values are well aligned.
