Pathways offers therapeutic gardening sessions at the Old English Garden, Battersea Park every Wednesday. Designed for women seeking to improve their mental health, this group provides a supportive space to reduce stress, enhance social connections, and learn gardening skills.

Location: Old English Garden, Battersea Park

Day & Time: Every Wednesday, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm

Duration: Participants can join for up to one year. After 6 months there is the option to switch to the Level 1 City & Guilds horticulture course, available on Tuesday or Thursday, which is a mixed-gender group.

About

Pathways is a weekly social and therapeutic gardening group for women who are experiencing mental health needs such as anxiety, depression, isolation, or mental ill-health. Participants can enjoy the therapeutic benefits of being in nature as well as socialising with others, learning about gardening, and having fun.

No experience in gardening is necessary, as our Horticulture Practitioner and a team of supportive volunteers are on hand to help guide. The group is kept small, with up to eight participants, to maintain a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Venue

The Old English Garden is a historic walled garden providing a fantastic opportunity to help maintain a much-loved space. The garden features abundant wildlife, mature trees and flowering shrubs, lily pond with fountain, wisteria walkway, and many rose and flower beds.
