Together with Barefoot Yoga, we hosted a free event for carers, helping people to relax in the garden and connect to nature. We started with a gentle yoga session led by Barefoot Yoga and then we made mandalas using natural materials. It was wonderful to see people's creativity and ideas using leaves, petals and seeds from the garden.
September marked two years and the end of our project funded by the Lottery Heritage Fund. We had a whole day of celebration- in the morning we gathered with project partners, stakeholders and staff to mark the achievements of the project. We were fortunate to also have MP Tahir Ali and Clive Stone, Deputy Lieutenant for the West Midlands in attendance. And then the afternoon was a celebration with the local community, where we enjoyed samosas, live music and time to enjoy the newly accessible garden.
