We welcomed a group involved in Queens Heath Pride, who came to the gardens one very rainy morning (!) to make banners for the Pride parade that took place around Kings Heath park. Despite the weather, we enjoyed getting creative and spending some time in the garden.
Thrive were part of this year's disability festival in Birmingham which took place at Aston University. It was great to meet and chat to students and share with them the social and therapeutic programmes that we run in Kings Heath.
We were thrilled to open up the garden as part of the National Garden Scheme this July. Despite the heatwave, we had over 200 visitors to the garden! They were able to explore all the areas that have recently been made more accessible, thanks for lottery heritage funding, and people were able to enjoy tea and cake amongst our beautiful plants and flowers.
