Years 3 and 4 from local school St. Dunstan's Catholic Primary, came to help us build a new hibernaculum for the smooth newts in our garden. They worked really hard digging a large hole and then filling it with rubble, bricks, logs and carefully positioned pipes to allow amphibians to access it. This underground shelter will help our smooth newts to hibernate somewhere safe over the winter.
We held our festive craft morning this month where people could make tree decorations using natural materials and browse our pop-up shop in the office selling plants, crafts and cards! Unfortunately, due to Storm Darragh lots of people weren't able to make the event, but a small group of us got creative and made the best of the morning!
