Training outdoors
Thrive and other organisations offer funding opportunities to individuals looking to develop their career in social and therapeutic horticulture

We are very pleased to announce the opening of the Charles Notcutt Memorial Bursary 2019-20. This has been made possible again by a touching and generous donation to Thrive in the name of the late Charles Notcutt, who passed away in 2015 aged 81.

Notcutt's is the UK’s largest family-owned garden centre company.

This year, we are offering two people the opportunity to complete our online 'Award in Social and Therapeutic Programme Development course followed by the assignment to gain the Award in Social and Therapeutic Programme Development'.

Applications are invited from anyone who is either:

  • An STH professional or practitioner
  • A volunteer at an STH programme or project
  • A health, social care or educational professional who would be able to directly implement the knowledge and skills they would receive as a result of the training.

The reason for reaching out to specific groups of people is to ensure that each person supported by the bursary can apply the knowledge and skills they have received directly.

If you wish to apply please complete and return the application form (pdf) to Training, Education and Consultancy Team, Thrive, The Geoffrey Udall Centre, Beech Hill, Reading, Berks, RG7 2AT or email it to training@thrive.org.uk. Please contact us if you would like a word version of the application form.

Please ensure that you read the terms and conditions and learner agreement before applying.

Closing date for applications is 31st May 2019.

PLEASE NOTE - Applications are now closed
