Mark Emery2

Mark started out his career in horticulture as a maintenance gardener before gaining his RHS Level2 and moving into STH by volunteering at the Thrive London gardens in Battersea park in 2011. He then progressed onto becoming a practitioner and had the good fortune to work alongside a broad range of client gardeners with learning disabilities and mental health needs. He also ran outreach programmes in special needs schools and residential homes.

Mark has now been part of Thrive’s Training and Education team since 2019 and has been fortunate enough in that time to have visited and gained invaluable knowledge from a wide audience of individuals working in a number of green care projects around the country. He has helped support many learners in our online and face-to-face courses and has been delivering the practical horticulture unit to those undertaking the Diploma programme.
