Thrive Battersea celebrates new plant maintenance contract with large London firm

Thrive has teamed up with landmark London development Keybridge, in Vauxhall, to look after the planting areas around their sale and marketing suite.

Twice a month, two groups of Thrive client gardeners from our Battersea centre who are studying or hoping to study for their Level 1 City and Guilds Qualification in Practical Horticulture, will visit Keybridge to maintain the the planting.

So far, the teams have planted gazania, helichrysum, penstemon and verbena and helped maintain the existing landscaping.

Jon Hall, Sales Director at Mount Anvil, comments: "We are delighted to be working with such a worthy charity and to be providing Thrive with a space to allow their participants to get some hands on experience."

Ellen Swygart from Thrive, Battersea said: "Taking on a contract such as this is fantastic experience for our client gardeners who, whilst fully supported by Thrive, will take the role seriously and be able to add this to their CV.

"It demonstrates commitment and professionalism, will be a confidence booster and a chance to work outside of the Thrive garden environment."

Keybridge, Vauxhall (SW8) is a landmark development by award-winning developers Mount Anvil and FABRICA by A2Dominion, which will transform one of London’s most exciting regeneration areas, providing new homes, open spaces, shops and offices.

Thrive has a contract to maintain the planting until October 2017.
