Do you like being out and about and dealing with people?
If so, you could be just the person we need for a special volunteering opportunity.
Many of the client gardeners who attend horticultural therapy sessions at Thrive Reading rely on being picked up and dropped back home by our minibus teams.
We need a volunteer to act as a bus escort who can assist the driver with:
- Supervising clients boarding and disembarking the bus (no lifting required)
- Ensuring seat belts are worn by all passengers
- Ensuring baggage is secured before journeys commence
- General supervision of clients whilst travelling
- Assisting the driver and passengers in the event of an emergency
We're looking for an early riser on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings who can be at our Beech Hill centre at 07.50 for the 08.00 run which will end at 09.20.
We’re also looking for someone to help with the afternoon run (14.50-16.30) on Tuesday afternoons until mid-April.
