We were delighted to be nominated as a finalist at the recent AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards for our work with Get Gardening.

The AbilityNet Tech4Good awards, now in their 11th year, celebrate organisations and individuals working to use technology to have a positive impact on society.

Thrive - Get Gardening was shortlisted in the ‘Inclusive Health’ category, looking at technology solutions that make healthcare accessible for a wide range of people.

"We are proud to have been nominated as a finalist," says Kathryn Rossiter, CEO. "It has also been hugely inspiring to see the work of the other nominees. From major technology companies to start-ups and passionate individuals, it’s encouraging to see the innovation and effort going into creating positive change in people’s lives."

About Get Gardening

In July 2022, Thrive launched a new, free digital information service, Get Gardening. This was made possible thanks to funding for the project from the Peter Sowerby Foundation.

This service is designed to help people with a wide range of health needs to use gardening and nature to support their wellbeing, or that of someone they care for.

We have been happy to see the response since launch. More than 115,000 people have accessed the information online, with around 92% telling us they now have a better understanding of how gardening can improve health.
