We are looking for inspiring images to represent every month from January to December 2022.
The only criteria is the photographs must relate to plants, gardens or gardening. For example, you might capture a stunning flower on your windowsill, a tranquil garden at sunrise or a crisp winter morning on the allotment. We'd love to see your own gardens, local views - somewhere that means something to you - and you can tell us about it in the entry form.
A panel of judges will pick the best entries for the calendar, which will go on sale in the run-up to Christmas.
There’s no fee to enter and if your image is selected, you will receive a free copy of Thrive’s 2022 calendar with a bigger prize for the photo chosen for the front cover.

Our judges will choose the overall winner, claiming the front cover image of the calendar and the front cover winner’s prize: a copy of the printed calendar, certificate, £25 Amazon gift voucher and the winning photo will hang framed in our reception for a year (until the next year's winner is selected). Other winners receive a copy of the calendar featuring their photo.
As well as being a chance to showcase your photographic talent for many people to enjoy, profits from the calendar will support Thrive’s work changing lives through Social and Therapeutic Horticulture.
- Take your photo - make sure it's a landscape shot (4:3 ratio)! Most smartphone photos will have high enough quality to enter the competition (see below)
- Fill in our form below, attaching your image and providing some contact details
- We can only accept digital images in JPEG format (again, they should be landscape in orientation) and be a minimum quality of 300dpi
- Enter 1 image only - if you have any issues, please contact comms@thrive.org.uk
- If any people appear in the photo and their faces are visible we'll need proof of their permission to be used in 'third party content'. If preferred we can provide a consent form for you to pass along to those people
- The closing date for entries is 23.59 on Sunday 15th August 2021
- Please note - we will use images in the competition promotion and ongoing as part of the calendar marketing, please only enter if you consent to this use of your photo
