Worry worms
Worms are the unsung heroes of any successful garden and at Thrive Reading we’ve got some new special wriggly arrivals.

These are worry worms, crocheted by one of the horticultural therapy team, to help client gardeners as they face the ups and downs of life.

Inspired by the Random Acts of Crochet Kindness Facebook group, the colourful creations have been hidden in bags, accompanied by encouraging messages, around the gardens for clients to find.

STH practitioner Vicki Parker-Scott said: ‘The worms have helped start conversations about worries and sharing them, the importance of talking to others.

‘We have all had a difficult time over the last couple of years and kindness will be an important part of getting back to normal.’
