The event offered visitors a chance to explore the lush gardens through a self-guided treasure trail, which provided insights into the various sections of the gardens and explained how each area is used to support individuals with a range of health conditions.
The treasure trail was just one of many attractions scattered throughout the gardens. Guests of all ages enjoyed games ranging from the classics, like bean bag toss and hook a duck, to more unique activities like axe throwing (which proved very popular!).
The Reading Lions supported the event by serving up delicious burgers from their catering van, while visitors also had the chance to purchase plants, indulge in homemade tea and cake, and browse local food and craft stalls. The day was made even more special with live music from Trinity Concert Band.
The event was a huge success for Thrive and the community, raising approximately £3,000 to support the charity's ongoing efforts. In addition to the funds raised, the event boosted awareness of Thrive's mission among the local community. Huge thanks go to all the individuals and organisations that supported and attended the event, making the day one to remember.
