Completed cabin social
Life in the gardens for clients, volunteers and staff at Thrive Birmingham will become a whole lot easier thanks to the installation of two key buildings.

The first is a timber cabin in the heart of our Kings Heath Park gardens that will serve as a classroom and an all-weather working space. It will also offer a new location for us to deliver Thrive training programmes.

Situated in our TV gardens, the building will not only offer more space but help us deliver more therapeutic gardening sessions in the future.

The second new addition is a composting toilet, also in our gardens, that will make a big difference to the comfort of our client gardeners, many of whom have physical disabilities and who otherwise have a 5-minute walk to the nearest alternative loo.

Alex Bailey, Thrive Birmingham’s Garden and Client Manager, said: 'Having these two new facilities built over the winter will make a tremendous difference, enhancing the experience of our client gardeners.

'It’s been great to see the reaction of clients, staff and volunteers as these new spaces have taken shape.’
