The Thrive Diploma in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture is a level 5 120 credit certificate. Accredited by the open college network, the curriculum presents an opportunity to develop all of the knowledge and skills necessary for practise excellence in any STH setting.
The John Weightman memorial bursary will provide three students with full course fees bursaries. Applications are welcome from anyone earning less than £23,000 per year, an application form can be found on our website here.
The closing date for applications is the 31st of March 2024. The Training and Education team will then shortlist 10 applicants to be reviewed by a panel made-up of a Thrive trustee a Thrive volunteer and a Thrive STH practitioner. We anticipate concluding the bursary application process by the end of April, at which time we will inform all applicants whether they have been successful in their application or not.
Non bursary applications are also welcome across this time. We hope to conclude the admissions process by the end of May, a few months’ time before the course starts in September, so that students are able to prepare. We have limited places available – our first two admissions for the diploma were oversubscribed. Both the bursary and the non-bursary application form provides you with an opportunity to describe your education and experience relevant to STH alongside any current practise you are involved in and importantly your aspirations for your STH future.
We invite you to look at all of the information on our website and if you have any questions you’d like to discuss, please email training.org.uk.
Good luck!
