Clients working hard at Thrive
Adam recently joined therapeutic gardening sessions at Thrive and is already making his mark in our gardens.

The 19-year-old has eagerly got stuck into creating his own vegetable plot, transporting wheelbarrows full of compost to fill up his raised bed inside a polytunnel.

With compost in place, Adam got down to planting his veg and is now looking forward to crops of beetroot, winter lettuce and swiss chard.

Thrive STH Practitioner, Michelle McLoughlin, who has been working with Adam at Thrive Reading, said, `Adam has really taken to being at Thrive and clearly has a sense of purpose when it comes to growing plants.

`Socially, he has fitted right in and it’s been good to see his teamwork with a fellow client gardener who helped him with planting and has been generally showing him the ropes at Thrive.

`I’m looking forward to seeing the positive impact that nurturing these plants will have on Adam and the satisfaction he will take from his achievements in the garden.’
