Samuel Brockington is an Associate Professor in the Department for Plant Sciences, Cambridge, and Curator of the Cambridge University Botanic Garden.

In his capacity as Curator, he is responsible for managing a living collection of some 16000 species, situated within a 40-acre historic landscape. In this role, he is increasingly interested in the role of green space and horticulture as therapy, and as a source of livelihood and happiness for vulnerable members of our society. These interests led him to support Thrive, initially as a ‘Friend’ and now as a Trustee.
