Life Changers is a social and therapeutic gardening programme for people living with a life-changing health condition that has impacted their daily living, such as recovery from stroke, cancer, surgery, heart or lung disease, accident or injury, or other long-term conditions like diabetes, MS, or long covid.
Participants can enjoy being in a relaxing outdoor setting to meet other people and get involved in gentle gardening to improve health and wellbeing. Activities are tailored to an individual’s needs and no prior experience of gardening is needed. Our Horticultural Practitioner and volunteers guide the group in seasonal indoor or outdoor gardening activities such as sowing seeds, growing vegetables, salad and herbs, potting on and planting out, planting up containers, and maintaining flower beds.
