Thrive is looking for people working with adults with learning disabilities to guide an international project

Thrive is involved in an international project aiming to develop resources to support educators, activity providers and families to engage adults with learning disabilities in gardening and cooking as a way of supporting ongoing learning and independence. We are looking for adults with learning disabilities, their families and educators/activity providers who would be interested in being involved in this study to guide the development of these resources,. This will initially involve providing information about the availability of gardening and cooking courses, opportunities for families to get involved alongside the person with learning disabilities and the kinds of resources which would be useful to support these activities. At the end of the project in early 2021, we will be running events to share the results with those involved and the wider community and the toolkits and resources we have developed will be made freely available. Get involvedIf you would like to be involved in the project, you can contribute directly to the study or if you would like more information or to hear about the results then please get in touch
