This page contains updates about the current progress of the MeTURA - "Back to the roots" and the ways you can get involved and contribute to the project.

We are gathering this information through a series of questionnaires for adults with learning disabilities, their families and those involved in providing activities and education for these individuals. We want to find out the best ways to support adults with learning disabilities, their families and educators/activity providers to engage with life long learning close to home through gardening and cooking.

  • The first questionnaire will gather information from educators and activity providers
  • The second will gather information from adults with learning disabilities and their families

1) For educators and activity providers

Purpose: To understand the kind of support needed by educators and activity providers to engage and motivate adults with learning disabilities and their families

Target: educators and activity providers working with adults with learning disabilities and their families

2) For adults with learning disabilities and their families

Purpose: to gather information about the current opportunities for adult family members with learning disabilities and their families to engage with lifelong learning close to the home, (in particular gardening and cooking) and how educators/activity providers can encourage and support this

Target: Families with adult members with learning disabilities

Completion time: approx 10 minutes. Includes 15 simple questions for families and 3 easy read questions for individuals with learning difficulties.
