This course explores the principles of Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH). It looks at the way in which nature, meaningful activity and social interactions come together to support a number of important health outcomes. Participants will also explore who STH can help, how it works, and the scientific research behind it.

By the end of the course, students will have explored who STH can help, how it works, and the scientific research behind it.

This course is suitable for:

Anyone with an interest in nature-based approaches to health including practitioners, professionals, volunteers, career changers. It will also be of interest to those working in health and social care, GPs, commissioning groups, referrers and funders.
