This one-day workshop provides an introduction to the benefits of Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) and how gardening can be beneficial for people’s physical health and emotional wellbeing.

It includes insights from our training team and practitioners on how to support people through group-structured activities and looks at the role of the practitioner as well as a tour of our gardens. You will also have the opportunity to hear first-hand from our client gardeners who will share their experiences about health and horticulture.

This course is suitable for:

Anyone who wants to begin their journey in STH including career changers, volunteers and people who are interested in finding out more about STH.
