Our Learning and Technology Officer Freddie ran the 2019 Reading Half Marathon for Thrive, raising a fantastic £630 of valuable funds along the way!

Freddie told us, “Knowing that every penny I had raised would help support the clients I have come to know, to ensure that our provision is open to those who could really be benefiting from horticultural therapy, that made every step of the half marathon worth it."

Even when the hills loomed and my legs hurt I knew I was doing something for a really special charity, and that made the high of completing it even sweeter.

We were also supported by a group from one of our partners, Chiltern Seeds. Sally, Heather, Nina, Luke and Alex were certainly training hard at home and in their lunch breaks during their busiest time to ensure they were race ready.

Their hard work paid off when they handed Thrive a generous £450 donation as fruits of their labour - which was gratefully received. Well done to the team and thank you for choosing Thrive!
