Planting out
Funding is available for people looking to create gardens to benefit their communities.

After a year’s absence due to coronavirus, the National Gardening Scheme is relaunching its Community Gardens Award.

Money will be available to help amateur gardeners in community groups create gardens or allotments that will bring people together and help expand knowledge of gardening.

Applications supporting people with physical or mental disabilities are welcome. Awards are up to £5,000.

In 2020, funding was given to 44 projects and more than £200,000 has been donated via the scheme since 2019.

Applications need to be submitted by 28th February 2022. Find out more here.
