Thrive is a national charity whose mission is to research, educate and promote the use and advantages of gardening for people with a disability.

Thrive Membership

Members of Thrive 
are not only those who have a professional interest in using gardening and horticulture to benefit people with disabilities, but are also those who wish to support Thrive and enable more people who have a disability to use gardening to improve their quality of life.

All new Members will receive a welcome pack, regular e-newletters, and includes the following  benefits:

A welcome pack which includes:

  • a 32 page full-colour Guide to Thrive booklet
  • an inspirational CD of stories and experiences of disabled people who have benefited from gardening
  • an information sheet on the subject of sensory gardens  

Regular information, articles and features:

  • GrowthPoint magazine packed with news, horticulture project profiles and professional information, which is published four times a year
  • regular editions of Thrive News with updates on our work with disabled people and top tips
  • regular e-newsletter with interesting topics, advice and information

Professional support:

  • opportunity to purchase Cultivating Quality, the first quality assurance scheme designed for use by projects offering structured programmes in social and therapeutic horticulture
  • access to the Thrive library, the only specialist library on the subject of social and therapeutic horticulture in the UK.  

Other benefits:

  • a concessionary rate when hiring Thrive's training and meeting rooms and our unique Secret Garden at the Thrive National Office near Reading, Berkshire

 

 Thrive Membership  renews on 1st October at £30 for a year, membership is available throught the year on a pro-rata basis, call us for details.

If you live outside the UK, there is an additional charge of £10 to cover postage costs.
