This set of worksheets is called ‘Back to Basics’ because it is designed to be used when teaching key gardening skills and basic horticultural skills.

The sheets have been devised, written and illustrated for use with people of all ages who have a learning disability, but occupational therapists and those working with children will also find them useful.
 
The worksheets have the flexibility to be used by clients working on their own or if they need assistance.

The worksheets cover seed sowing, pricking out into pots, taking hardwood cuttings, potting up, softwood and semi-ripe cuttings, planting small trees (whips), planting trees, plant division – perennials, leaf bud cuttings, planting and spacing of ground cover and growing garden peas.
