Plant a Difference campaign has already started to make a difference to disabled gardeners across the UK. The boxes of ready to plant herbs and perennials have been sent out to many gardeners who have already started to discover the benefits of gardening for themselves.
Gardening can bring a profound change, from improvements in physical or psychological health to adjustments in beliefs, attitudes or behaviours to the transformation of skills, knowledge and abilities.

Dear Thrive
Thank you so much for sending me a plant box. I have been away so did not get to see the plants until my return yesterday. My sister opened the box, rang to tell me about them, then kept them safe for me. It was
exciting news to hear I'd had a delivery of plants, I could not imagine
where they had come from and was very intrigued by her description of
the hairy pots. It was a lovely surprise to discover that they had come
from Thrive, I am delighted to have my beautiful "Smell and Hairy"
collection. It was a thrill to receive my plants, I will enjoy looking
after them, take great pleasure in watching them grow and will always be
reminded of the kind people at Thrive who provided them for me.

Thank you very much: someone was very happy after coming home from school and so we did a quick, impromptu planting of some of the perennials in a bed we made together - he has an obsession with rocks, so we put all the flints he'd found to good use! Maybe the weeds aren't the best backdrop but these should grow well enough where they are to establish themselves.
