Volunteers from Barclays Asset and Sales Finance help with the Secret Garden

10/05/2007

Building work at the new Secret Garden at the Thrive Trunkwell Garden Project is moving on at a great pace. This is partly thanks to staff from Barclays Asset and Sales Finance based in Basingstoke.
Teams of volunteers visited Thrive over a number of days and helped with the groundwork, fence painting and sanding and varnishing woodwork.
Nick Rowntree, from Barclays’ IT Support Team, said: “Our offices are quite local to Thrive’s garden in Beech Hill. We enjoyed helping with the Secret Garden and it was good to see that the teams’ hard work made a difference to the new garden area. I know that some more of our staff hope to visit again in the next few months and contribute towards this very worthwhile project.”
