Stary stary night

06/12/2005

Thrive’s Victorian Evening attracted over 100 visitors, who enjoyed mulled wine, entertainment and Christmas stalls under the stars in the Langan Marquee at Trunkwell park, Beech Hill.

Despite the chilly winter's evening, visitors were warmed by performances of the Mortimer Dramatic Society, the Stephen Nye quintet, local author Tania Crosse and a real-life Town Crier.

Stallholders selling toys, jewellery, preserves, candles and cakes helped visitors to fill their Christmas stockings for friends and family.

Over £850 was raised during the evening and Thrive would like to thank Bob Walton, his staff and everyone who helped make the event a great success.
