Wicked support for Thrive

30/10/2009

Cast members from WICKED, the record-breaking hit musical at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, presented a cheque for funds raised from its annual WICKED DAY to Thrive gardeners at the Thrive Battersea Garden Project in Battersea Park, London.

WICKED DAY is a free, fun, family event that welcomes all ages to celebrate the show and which raised £4,000 for Thrive. The day features a host of WICKED and Halloween themed activities including competitions, performances, face-painting, fancy dress and workshops. Members of the WICKED cast take part and come along in costume.

Susan Stuart, Battersea Garden Project Manager said: "We are very grateful for the money WICKED has raised for us through WICKED DAY. This has contributed to improvements being made as part of our £839,000 re-development of this garden project which will significantly increase the number of disabled people we can help in London."
