Thrive’s relationship with Jo Malone Limited is celebrating its third year and the luxury British fragrance and lifestyle brand has raised a further £8,000 this year in addition to their annual donation.
The money will be used to support the work Thrive does with its client gardeners in the Old English Garden (OEG) in Battersea Park, London.
The OEG underwent a huge regeneration in 2012 thanks to the inspiring support of Jo Malone Ltd who enlisted the help of award-winning garden designer Sarah Price whose vision for the garden radically transformed it into a blooming hub for the community.
As we enter June 2015, the garden is once again turning into a vision of beauty, colour and fragrance thanks to the continued support of Jo Malone Ltd and importantly our client gardeners who can continue to work in one of London’s wonderful hidden oases reaping the physical and mental benefits gardening brings.
The new life breathed into the gardens has far reaching benefits beyond helping our client gardeners as the garden is open daily to the general public and is established as a truly scented haven in the heart of the city.
The OEG is quintessentially British and features many of the plant featured in Jo Malone London’s fragrances, such as basil, violets, jasmine, mint, lily and roses.
Kathryn Rossiter, CEO at Thrive, said: "We are thrilled that our relationship with Jo Malone Limited has extended beyond its initial two years.
"I know many of the staff have rolled up their sleeves and worked hard in the garden alongside our own gardeners on many occasions, thus complimenting their work and engaging with our staff, and volunteers, ensuring Jo Malone Limited are truly part of the Thrive family.
"We hope the relationship with Jo Malone Limited will continue, like the garden and the people we help, to flourish, and of course thrive!"
Last year the partnership won the coveted best charity partnership for retail and leisure in The Third Sector Business Charity Awards. Nearly all Jo Malone London staff from across the UK have been involved with the project.
