Keeping the garden gate open and
Gardening together are new additions to the range of products that are available free to blind and partially sighted gardeners.
Keeping the Garden Gate Open is a new CD from Thrive and RNIB with stories and gardening tips from blind and partially sighted gardeners. It has been recorded to help people newly diagnosed with sight loss to continue working in and enjoying their garden.
This free CD is available in standard audio CD and Daisy format, and has inspirational narrative from seven visually impaired gardeners. Sally, Harry, Jane, Spiro, Ursula, John and Pauline tell you how they garden with their visual impairment and give valuable tips and advice.
Thrive and RNIB have also produced a free, full colour, 40 page guide on how to set up a local gardening club for blind and partially sighted people.
The guide is available in large print, audio CD and Braille, and will be useful to people who would like to start a new club, or for groups and professionals working with visually impaired people.
