Thrive is a national charity whose mission is to research, educate and promote the use and advantages of gardening for people with a disability.

Gardening, Wellbeing and Occupational Therapy

13/10/2006

This Thrive conference aims to inspire and offer practical help to those who want to use
gardening as part of Occupational Therapy practice.

The day will cover the changing role of Occupational Therapy and how it can be incorporated into your day-to-day work with the support of Thrive. It will offer the opportunity to review recent research and debate current issues surrounding gardening and its benefits to recovery and rehabilitation. There will be a chance to
consolidate and learn new methods with a range of practical workshops run by experienced practitioners.

The programme will include presentations from Nicola Carruthers (Chief Executive, Thrive) and Anne Lawson-Porter (Head of Education and Learning, College of Occupational Therapists).
