OFFICE MANAGER

Salary £19,110 p.a. pro rata (£13,650)
25 hours per week 
Ideally 5 days per week, subject to negotiation

Thrive is a small national charity using gardening to change the lives of disabled people, with offices near Reading and also in London.

Based at our Head Office, the successful applicant will provide excellent office management on a day to day basis as well as PA support to the CEO and Board of Trustees.

Main responsibilities include:
• Assisting the Head of Support Services with all aspects of office administration
• Overseeing room bookings for external groups
• Providing PA support including liaison with Trustees, diary management, producing agendas and despatching documentation, arranging meetings and organising events
• Coordinating health & safety reporting to ensure legal compliance and best practice
• Administration of the organisation’s training requirements and records
• Processing CRB checks

With an ordered approach to managing a varied workload, you’re comfortable using your own initiative and have the ability to plan and prioritise activities effectively. A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, you have a flexible approach to the demands of the job.

Candidates must have proven administrative experience with good all round IT knowledge. A suitable administration qualification would be ideal.
Experience of working in a small/medium charity would be an advantage.

THRIVE MINIBUS DRIVERS

Required to work mornings and/or afternoons

Salary £7.60 per hour
Based at Thrive’s Trunkwell Garden Project, Reading RG7 2AT

Hours Required:
Mornings: Tuesday 8.00am–11.00am Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.00am–10.00am
Afternoons: Tuesday to Friday 3.00pm – 5.00pm
 
Thrive is a small national charity specialising in horticultural therapy, using gardening to change the lives of disabled people.
We are looking to recruit part-time drivers to operate our minibuses, transporting disabled clients from the local area to Thrive's Trunkwell Garden Project at Beech Hill near Reading, Berkshire.
The ideal candidate must be over 25 years of age (for insurance purposes) and hold a clean category D1 driving licence. With good communication skills and basic numeracy, you will be comfortable working without supervision and able to carry out physical duties including assisting wheelchair-bound passengers.

MiDAS training and previous experience relating to accessible vehicles is desirable, although training will be given to the successful candidate.

Appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check
