in Beech Hill, Reading
The village of Beech Hill is close to the Berkshire/Hampshire border, and about seven miles south of Reading.
From the South
Travel north from Basingstoke on the A33. After passing the Wellington monument on your left, at the next roundabout turn left and follow the signs to Beech Hill. At Beech Hill turn right at the The Elm Tree pub, you will see signs to Thrive and Trunkwell Garden on your left in about 100 yards.
From the North
Turn south onto the A33 at Junction 11 of the M4. At the first roundabout, turn left, taking the road through Three Mile Cross and Spencers Wood. Just after the Murco Garage, turn right into Beech Hill Road. Follow this road until you reach the village of Beech Hill. At Beech Hill, you will see the signs to Thrive and Trunkwell Garden on your right.

By bus from Clapham Junction
From Clapham Junction, take the 49 bus (destination White City) and alight at the traffic lights on Battersea Bridge Rd where Parkgate Road turns off. Walk along Parkgate Road to the end, and enter the park by Albert Gate. Turn left inside the park and the entrance to the Thrive Herb Garden is immediately on your right, down a narrow lane.
By bus from South Kensington Station Circle & District Line
From S.Kensington, take the 49 bus (destination Clapham Junction) and alight at the traffic lights on Battersea Bridge Rd where Parkgate Rd turns off. Walk along Parkgate Rd to the end, and enter the park by Albert Gate. Turn left inside the park and the entrance to the Thrive Herb Garden is immediately on your right, down a narrow lane.
By bus from Victoria Station Victoria Line and Circle & District Line
From Victoria Station, take the 170 bus (destination Roehampton) and alight at Albert Bridge. Walk across Albert Bridge and continue 100 yards down Albert Bridge Rd with the park on your left, entering Battersea Park by Albert Gate. Turn left inside the park and the entrance to the Thrive Herb Garden is immediately on your right, down a narrow lane.
By bus from Vauxhall Station Victoria Line
From Vauxhall Station, take the 344 bus (destination Clapham Junction) and alight at the traffic lights on Battersea Park Rd where Albert Bridge Rd turns off. Walk up Albert Bridge Rd and follow it with the park on your right until you come to Albert Gate. Enter by Albert Gate. Turn left inside the park and the entrance to the Thrive Herb Garden is immediately on your right, down a narrow lane.
By car
Enter the park by Albert Gate and park in the Car Park to your right as you come in the gate (charges £2.00 per hour, maximum stay four hours), then walk back to Albert Gate. Continue in the same direction past the gate a short distance and there is a narrow access road on your right, clearly marked Thrive Herb Garden. Please note disabled drivers and those with disabled passengers should contact the project so the appropriate arrangements can be made for vehicular access to the site.
