Consultancy

Thrive can provide a consultancy service that can help your organisation to achieve its goals. Thrive’s consultancy can assist organisations working in the field of Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) and also health and social care organisations who utilise their gardens and outdoor spaces for care purposes.

Thrives consultancy service can consist of:

  • Developing business plans
  • Developing funding bids
  • Support to create STH programmes
  • Guidance on monitoring outcomes

We have also in the past provided advice and guidance on creating garden spaces specific to your service user needs in terms of therapeutic benefit, accessibility and usability.

Thrive are always pleased to discuss the possibility of providing consultancy to support your needs. Consultations will be considered on an individual basis.

Thrive’s Consultancy process is tailored to each organisation but could for example include the following elements:

  1. Thrive examine and report on the way horticulture can be used within your service
  2. The service decides how it would be used best in their setting
  3. Consultancy - Thrive visit your setting and discuss fully what you would like to achieve
  4. Thrive design a STH programme specific to your needs
  5. Thrive deliver a training day for all staff involved and demonstrate how to implement the programme
  6. Access to further consultancy to ensure smooth facilitation of horticultural programmes.

Below is a selection of the positive feedback Thrive’s Consultancy service receives:

Thrive support for the Bubbly Project in Devon included a site evaluation, and a comprehensive accessibility report aligned to their business plan they said:
"A strong thank you for your comprehensive report with some very important and professional aspects. This is an excellent guide and document that will be useful in a number of ways, we are very grateful". Bubbly project, Devon

Thrive supported Forty Hall through the process starting a Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Project and they said:

"We contacted Thrive when we were putting together our Ecominds bid application. It was really useful to talk through how we would utilise Thrive - for training and consultancy if we were successful. We were successful, and we have been able to work with Thrive from the start. Thrive have supported us with our recruiting, ensuring applicants had the right qualifications, and we have now successfully recruited someone who is fully qualified in the field of STH. We budgeted for some training as well, and this is to be delivered later in the year.

We're really pleased to be working with Thrive, and I'm sure it gave us credibity in our application."
