Thrive is a national charity whose mission is to research, educate and promote the use and advantages of gardening for people with a disability.

Come Gardening

Come Gardening is a unique quarterly magazine for gardeners with sight loss, and has been published by Thrive for over 25 years. You can download a free copy here to see if it is of interest, or contact us if you’d like to receive a large print or audio version of this free edition.

Elisabeth Standen, shown in the photo, is a long-term subscriber to Come Gardening:
"Come Gardening is the only item of post that is almost invariably read from cover to cover as quickly as I can manage."

Come Gardening has regular features on readers’ gardens, their tips, information on flower and food gardens, and details of new plants and equipment that might be of interest to gardeners with low vision.

Elisabeth finds Come Gardening very useful: "What have I enjoyed most about the magazine? Hearing about other readers’ gardens. I have also learnt lots from its pages over the years, and I have also enjoyed writing for our magazine–telling others about my successes and failures."
