Battersea Links

There are a number of organisations with links to our Garden Project in Battersea Park.

Battersea is in the borough of Wandsworth. It is London’s second largest borough with a population of around 260,000 people. The borough extends from Vauxhall in the east to Putney in the west and, like many Inner London boroughs, Wandsworth's population is culturally, economically and socially diverse. Battersea Park is the largest in the borough and covers 200 acres. It is one of the largest and best used parks in London and is visited by over 3 million people every year.

We work very closely with the park and we are actively supported by Wandsworth’s park management team. The borough gives Thrive direct grant aid and leases us our operating sites in Battersea Park.

Lantra is the Sector Skills Council for the environment and land-based sector. By working to ensure people can get the skills and training development they need, Lantra can help businesses profit, employees gain job satisfaction and people find the careers they want.

The London Parks and Green Spaces Forum aims to ensure that London secures its fair share of the resources being directed towards green spaces.

We are delighted to have the support of Alitex, a leading manufacturer of high quality glasshouses, who are supplying a new greenhouse for our site in the Herb Garden'.

Action Disability Kensington and Chelsea  is an organisation run and controlled by disabled people. They support disabled people to live independently and campaign for an inclusive society which does not discriminate against disabled people.
